We should start this by saying that we didn’t help Red Cymbals with anything when it came to designing the Dark Series. We just stand behind this product 100%. In all actuality we fell in love with the look of these cymbals and had to try them. And of course, were just completely shocked when we heard them. They’re dark, thin, dry-ish but washy at the same time. The hi-hats have become my go-to hats for literally everything! And those crashes and rides, what an awesome series of cymbals.
Normally cymbals like this don’t have a lot of tone, but not the Dark Series! They have wash, tone, complexity, and they’re just so buttery for a dry cymbal. Can’t beat em.
